The Wolf of Harmaja was a creature that walked like a man, but looked like a great gray wolf. It preyed on fishermen near the island of Harmaja, wielding a brutally heavy stone club. It was slain in 813 by Bear Face and the New Brevik Travelers. The wolf was the result of a curse placed on Tarapikko, father of Kaupi the Fletcher of Tammisaari. The curse was carried in a toothed wolf-skin cap.
